The Gungahlin Community Council on behalf of all its members and residents of Gungahlin extends its thoughts and wishes to those that have lost so much in this devastating event. The bushfires in Victoria will bring back memories to many residents of Canberra of its bushfire crisis in 2003 and the loss that the community felt.

The GCC urges all residents to donate what they can to the victims of the bushfires. People are able to make donations through a number of charities and financial institutions.
