The ACT Commissioner for Sustainability Maxine Cooper has released the State of the Environment Report 2007-08.

The report highlighted that ACT residents have a an extremely high 'ecological footprint' - that is the ground area required to produce everything we consume on an annual basis. That footprint is some four times the global average footprint.

Ms Cooper has agreed to address our GCC meeting on 10 September to explain the report and answer other environment questions.
