ActewAGL a good citizen?

ActewAGL has been splashing big ads around lately proclaiming themselves as the number one corporate citizen among energy companies Australia-wide. But this claim is based on just 34.5% of customers saying they are a "good citizen/community minded", as quoted in their own ads.

So John Mackay are you really as proud as you claim that some two thirds of your customers do NOT think you are a good citizen? Sounds more like plenty of room for improvement to me.

Suburb is 'over the hump'

Suburb is 'over the hump'

In this small article in the Canberra Times following our big meeting in April attended by John Hargreaves, Hargreaves is quoted as supporting the satellite city concept for Gungahlin, and in saying "there should be no reason why they should be forced to leave" he was referring to the need to locate all infrastructure AND jobs in the town, reducing the need to commute out.

What they didn't report were his concessions that:

"There were some incredible lessons learnt in Tuggeranong. They will not be repeated. The Government has no intention of allowing Gungahlin to be a dormitory suburb."
