Goodyear Autocare in Gungahlin seems to be fighting a losing battle with graffiti. The big blank walls facing onto vacant land seem to hard to pass up for vandals.
The Gungahlin Community Council nominated this building as a good site for a legal street art project via the Tuggeranong Arts Centre's Messengers program. Unfortunately TCA's application for funding from the ACT Government did not get approval. They are trying again.
But meanwhile owner Andrew Gooman can wait no longer and is looking at shelling out thousands of dollars himself to get the walls painted by a registered aerosol artist.
