In this small article in the Canberra Times following our big meeting in April attended by John Hargreaves, Hargreaves is quoted as supporting the satellite city concept for Gungahlin, and in saying "there should be no reason why they should be forced to leave" he was referring to the need to locate all infrastructure AND jobs in the town, reducing the need to commute out.

What they didn't report were his concessions that:

"There were some incredible lessons learnt in Tuggeranong. They will not be repeated. The Government has no intention of allowing Gungahlin to be a dormitory suburb."
