ACT Light Rail will be hosting its Federal Candidates Event, on Tuesday 13th November 2007.

Candidates standing in the Federal ACT Seats of Fraser, Canberra and Senate positions have been invited to attend and express their party positions and personal commitment to Light Rail for the ACT if elected to Federal Parliament.

'Regardless of which party and representatives are elected, commitment and involvement by the Federal Government will be crucial to the overall success of a Light Rail system for the Capital Region' stated ACT Light Rail Deputy Convener - Jonathon Reynolds.

ACT Light Rail is a group formed to seek an effective light rail network for the Capital Region. It maintains a comprehensive website on which information about light rail is available at www.ACTLightRail.info.
