Social FunctionsAs there are limited venues available in Gungahlin for social functions, we endeavour to keep the centre available for these on a limited number of evenings. However, some functions have resulted in significant damage to the centre and nuisance to our neighbours. Therefore we have been forced to impose very strict conditions on such functions. Hirers who look after the centre and respect our neighbours will get their bond back. Those who do not will lose their bond, be charged for any additional expenses or damages, and be blacklisted from the centre. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any social function booking if we suspect it could represent a risk of damage to the facilities or of noise nuisance to neighbours. Further, we reserve the right to require a security guard to be on site for the duration of the booking, with this to be arranged by us but paid for in advance by the hirer (approximately $50 per hour). Flat rate hire $300.00 - up to nine hours Additional time $40.00 per hour Security bond $600
While your function may continue after 10.00pm, ACT noise regulations apply after then! Your function must be completed, and the centre cleaned and vacated by midnight. Note the security bond conditions above.
